Pinaffo Pluvinage

Eyes on Talents member, Pinaffo Pluvinage, created En cascade, mécanique sablonneuse, as part of Mondes nouveaux, a program of the Ministère de la Culture in support of the design and production of artistic projects with particular attention to young creators. Presented in June in the south of France, at Anse de Paulilles, En cascade, mécanique sablonneuse, is an exploration of extremely low-tech machines, made of paper and cardboard, powered only by sand, but approaching the sophistication of electronic machines. These machines form two projects revealing phenomena related to sand: a micro-architecture to be activated by the spectators and a book of printed paper objects, to be assembled by oneself.
Marion Pinaffo and Raphaël Pluvinage have been working together since 2015. At the crossroads of design, science and graphic design, in a playful and educational way, the duo seeks to desacralize the technologies that surround us and whose functioning often escapes us.
