Manon Daviet
Eyes on Talents member, Manon Daviet's tapestries are currently exhibited in Paris in two different places: the Institut des Cultures d'Islam, for which she created Stream of stories for Katia Kameli's solo show and the Hoxton Hotel, where she exhibits 10 tapestries until February 6th. She also recently participated in a collective exhibition at the Galerie Goodmoods. Inspired by the discovery of nature and its diversity, Manon Daviet shows the beauty of the world through wall tapestries made with several techniques, such as tufting, crocheting, knitting and embroidery.
Manon Daviet first studied scenography and architecture before finding herself in tapestry, which she has been developing since 2019. Quickly attracted to knits and wool, her practice is halfway between art and craftsmanship. Manon Daviet carefully selects her yarns according to their textures and colors and is constantly looking for new techniques that can interact with each other. Her modern tapestries, which can measure up to 2 meters, are true works of art in wool and relief representing a powerful and dreamlike nature.
