Studio Plastique

Eyes on Talents member Theresa Bastek and Archibald Godts founded Studio Plastique in 2017 in Brussels after graduating from Design Academy Eindhoven. Studio Plastique wants to push the boundaries of what design aims to achieve. Their project Common Sands — Vases is a collection of recycled glass vases made from the glass components found in discarded electric appliances, to address both silicate scarcity and growing volumes of electronic waste. Common Sands — Vases are the result of more than 3 years of research and experimentation in collaboration with the recycling industry and local craft. With the aim of creating sustainable, smart and refined products, the project creates new value for an abundant yet unexploited group of materials.
