Silk magic
It is said that Japanese "weaving" began in the late Jomon period, and "dyeing" in the Yayoi period. Silk culture has enriched people's lives both physically and mentally since ancient times. I think it will help us in our busy modern society.

From sericulture to the completion of clothes, everything is done carefully with all my heart. As it is made-to-order, we start weaving the fabric after receiving the order, so it will take some time, but we would appreciate it if you could wear it carefully for a long time.
We will also take orders for exhibitions and sell some summer items.
"Even though it's hot, please come to our atelier surrounded by greenery." In the evening, you may be able to enjoy the voice of frogs and the cool evening breeze.
"I look forward to meeting you all."

DATE
"If you make a reservation, we will carefully explain the products, so you can take your time and look around." July 7th, 8th, and 9th are reserved days, but we would like as many people as possible to visit the sericulture factory at the source of the fabric, so we have set up a few people system, so if you want to visit individually, please start from July 10th. COLLECTION
[Akane x gold - neo Chichibu Futori]
This is an original Chichibu Futori weaving that was created through trial and error with Chichibu Futori weaving craftsmen. Modern techniques are combined with the traditional zakuri method of pulling threads from cocoons raised from eggs at a sericulture farm in Chichibu, and plant dyeing. I learned the work of sericulture and was given the opportunity to sit down, so I approached the production with a precious feeling as if I was dealing with life.
Akane
Along with indigo, it is one of the oldest dyes and has been used as a medicinal herb for reducing fever and purifying blood. In the Engishiki (905-927), which defined the order of clothing colors according to status and rank, it was the second highest color after purple. It is said that the red Hinomaru flag when the black ships arrived was also dyed with madder. Manyo plant, it is often described as the color of the sun, but it is also the color of blood and life that circulates in the body.

[Neri - neo Chichibu Futori]
It is silk white as it is from the cocoons made by the silkworms of the sericulture farmers.
Neri
It is said that silk was born in China about 4,000 years ago. After that, silk fabrics were introduced to Greece and Rome along the Silk Road, but the manufacturing method was strictly kept a secret. The technique of sericulture was introduced to Japan around the 3rd century. The raw silk extracted from boiled cocoons is kneaded to remove the sericin and softened.

[Swaying flowers - neo Chichibu Meisen]
The pattern depicts large gray flowers swaying on a turquoise background, and it is a large Meisen silk pattern with a refined sharpness.
[Four season's flowers - neo Chichibu Meisen]
This is the first pattern in the REINAIBUKA collection where you can enjoy the seven different colors depending on the angle and feel the gorgeousness and strength of the red flower Meisen silk fabric that stands out against the purple background with an iridescent effect.
[Lunar phases - neo Chichibu Meisen]
A pattern created by making full use of weaving techniques to loosen the waxing and waning of the moon. REINA IBUKA This is a beautiful and tasteful standard pattern that has been fascinated since the start of REINA IBUKA.
* In addition to the above, Chichibu Meisen also has items where you can choose your favorite pattern from several kinds of patterns.
[Others]
Silk satin, French lace, knitwear, standard items, etc...

About Chichibu Silk
At REINA IBUKA, we use “Modern” Chichibu Futoori and Chichibu Meisen, traditional silk fabrics of Chichibu. They are both light and comfortable, warm and cool, but they are beautiful silk fabrics with different characteristics.
Chichibu used to have a thriving sericulture industry because it is surrounded by mountains and is not suitable for rice cultivation. Among them, "Chichibu Futori" was made using non-standard cocoons as a workwear. It is woven by hand from "100% Chichibu cocoons" and is characterized by the natural texture of silk and "vegetable dyeing" that can only be produced by "untwisted yarn". After that, ``Chichibu Futori'' changed its name to ``Chichibu Meisen'' and became a silk fabric characterized by a technique called ``Hogushi Nassen,'' in which patterns are stencil-dyed on the warp threads. Some of them have a "beetle effect" in which the color looks different depending on the angle, and you can feel the crispness unique to silk fabrics.
