Prayer is whatever you say on your knees is a performance which enacts the fantasy and desire of being a pop-star through fictional tools. Stardom and fame are taken as a metaphor of creative freedom and a reflection on wealth. The work reflects on desire through the use of prayer, an action which in
volves faith. Faith intended here as a deep trust in one’s own agency, or better, the ability to shape oneself into their desired form. One that in this case is influenced by hyper feminine models seen from a gender non conforming perspective, which places the performer body inside the tensionof gender identification.
