Made with a particular focus on sustainability through the techniques of 3D whole garment weaving and zero-waste 'build-up textiles' constructed of multiple layers of fabric, thread, yarn, plastic and human ha
ir as weft materials. These textiles are framed by the limitations of the width of the loom; this challenge developed into a new method of constructing the pieces directly on the loom. Ultimately, this meant no cutting and waste of fabric, and limited need for sewing.
This intricate balance of vivid textures and advanced technical skills showcase that there is more to weaving than the old-fashioned way.
