This work is a reflexion I had about the representation of the black female body in the white visual culture.
By adopting a shifted, parodic point of view, I tried to challenged the image of the african woman and the esthetic and sexual stigmatization around her. The trivializations made by the ethn
ographic photography of the colonial period on the one hand and by the contemporary erotical images on the other hand, are roundabouted and re-interpreted. Working in a typical plan of a studio portraitist enables me to re-investigate the stereotypes to questioned them.
