This project was my FMP 'The power in femininity' and features the final collection I designed and made. The concept surrounded deconstructing the relationship between masculinity and power, drawing upon my own experiences of masculinity. Exploring how the construction of masculinity effects those in
power. The concept was underpinned by researching garments such as tailored suits, corsets and bridal-wear and their interlinking relationship of gender and power. I aimed to deconstruct these garments physically and contextually to build a new idea of what these garments can mean in contemporary menswear. Developing a collection of fluid formal evening attire.
