I often reminisce about a trip I took a few years ago to the south of France. Or more precisely: just about one unforgettable evening. I was staying in a charming little village, located on a hill in the middle of nature, and in between the stucco walls and the terra cotta roofs, we could glimpse an incredible view of the hilly landscape.

It was late when I finally arrived in front of our bed and breakfast. My family was already there, sitting on the terrace, holding a glass of wine in their hands, admiring and contemplating the beautiful postcard stretching out before their eyes. The sky was coloured deep blue, almost too deep to be real. I perfectly remember the moment when I walked into the dining room, noticing the windows with their elegant iron frames that streched towards the terrace. The room bathed in a golden-coloured light solely evoked by the candles on the dining table. The light was dancing on the half-empty glasses, and the blue sky added a subtle reflection on the rough stone floor. The light candles, the reflections, the night, the people outside contemplating the landscape, and the architecture so simple and pure ... It was a magic picture where every element fell into its place. A contemplative scenery where you could just repose to observe this unique spectacle with its different dynamics and enjoy the present moment to its fullest extent.

My most beautiful memory of this trip was exactly that night. Unfortunately, I can't share with you the magic of that unique moment in this bed and breakfast, in this incredible village, but at least I would love to transmit the infinite poetry as I have experienced it that night.

La lumière et l'ombre is a contemplative place that reaches its fullest potential after dark, where the candle awakens creativity. A place where you can repose completely, where questions of perception are raised - seeing and being seen.
