The collection ‘PORTRAITS’ is in pursuit of commenting on our societies search of structure and set frames. It is my understanding that we tend to categorize things to obtain an understanding or recognition.

I would like to challenge this by creating a collection

that has notions that we recognize from traditional garments that has been altered and redefined by being placed in new ways. Through these subtle alterations I hope to create awarenessabout how we identify ourselves with the clothes we wear and the dialogue between our identity and our appearance.

The collection is built on a slow fashion concept, focusing on craftsmanship, creativity and longevity. Each piece is designed to create a curiosity yet reference to a traditional garment and create a bond between the garment and the wearer.
