Adrien Sgandurra (FR) is born in 1993. After studying film theory at the University of Montreal, he graduated from ÉCAL (Lausanne) in 2019.
Mainly working as a still life photographer on editorial and commercial projects, Adrien keeps in own artistic practice in a more documentary approach. Through
video, photography and archives he explores the new technologies, the artificial intelligence and questions the notions of progress and civilization.
Between 2017 and 2018, a team of sociologists from the CIC identified, located and documented the 800 or so religious and spiritual communities established in this territory. A class of Bachelor Photography, under the direction of professor and photographer Matthieu Gafsou, traveled through the Canto
n to meet around twenty of them. Their work gives for the first time an overview of the diversity of beliefs in the region.
“Corps-concept” is an exhibition that reflects on contemporary conceptions of the body that underpin numerous ideological movements, including transhumanism. Issues regarding the body-object, the body-draft, body-commodity and the anthropological consequences of these different “conceptional reductio
ns” will be examined.
