Like all the institutions around the world, the ROYAL ACADEMY OF FINE ARTS ANTWERP closed its building due to the pandemic, face-to-face teaching was abandoned, and the live graduate show cancelled. Instead of its flamboyant celebration of mad brilliance on the catwalk - which would have taken place in the beginning of June - for the first time in its storied history the Academy presented its fashion graduate collections through dynamic digital platform WWWSHOWWW instead.

something many fashion industry insiders look forward to. Due to the mess that is the coronavirus, this year’s graduation show looked a little different.

esthetic, Austrians Annemarie Saric and Florentina Leitner alongside Polish national Karolina Widecka were all selected on the basis of their designs which will be all be available for purchase starting tomorrow. Giving back to society in the process, one exclusive colourway of each style will be put up for auction with the funds going to US-based organisation Survived and Punished – as well as part of the proceeds of all other sales from the collab.
