The brief was to help Eitaro Sohonpo, a centenary Japanese confectionery, to reinvent one of their candy packaging for an international clientele. Originally, their packaging was made entirely from transparent rigid plastic, which produced non-essential waste and did not tell the story of the product

. Japanese people like to take inspiration from Western culture, while foreign tourists want to bring home something very Japanese. Strangely, it is as a French designer that we had to create a very Japanese packaging. We designed colored paper packaging with the technique of laser engraving, which made it possible to avoid the use of inks and reduce the environmental impact.
