Folklore was a project in which I found inspiration in an old greenlandic whaling costume.
I made to silhoettes, a showpiece and a more conventional piece.
I translated the original sealskin into faux suede polyester that has the same water-repellenteffect
as the sealskin.
Everything in the showpiece
is adjustable. Legs, arms, and waist - all can be tightened or extended.
In the original costume the hole is a matter of function but in this case it is purely ornamental.
