Switzerland-based photographer remixes the subjects of his images by “erasing, cloning, extending and filling in gaps with substance,” to create abstract, yet sleek images that reflect his unique vision of the world.
Justinas Vilutis is a photographer and artist, having just completed his studies at ECAL (Ecole Cantonale d’Art de Lausanne) he has already worked on projects for Nike, MIT and many others. His current practice is focused around photography, sculpture and research, referencing influences from a wide
range of interests from Honey Boo Boo to psychoanalysis and dialectical materialism. Throughout his imagery, Justinas Vilutis uses intricate multilayered set designs, saturated and sleek surfaces, liquids and plastics in order to achieve an image of a melting, hyperreal, eroticised terrain.
