Every year, millions of shoes are thrown away. Most of them are still wearable but not reparable. These issues of shoe overproduction and obsolescence led me to come up with a durable project.
I designed a model that combines the aesthetic and the technique of a modern sneaker to the durability of a
classic leather shoe.
The model can be repaired by a cobbler. Its sewing-based construction combines craftsmanship with a contemporary process that integrates 3D printing.
This project confirmed my ambition to continue my career in the field of sport.
