lligraphy. It is a space which is fully dedicated to contemplation. A temple for eyes awakening.
As an interpretation and a continuity of this tokonoma idea, we considered those vases as sensitive territories. They want to question the sense of the vase object inside the occidental house as an altar, which is present to awake a certain sensibility.
During the research, drawing at a big scale has been an essential medium to reach the idea of area-vases, and to set up a construction logic.
The nine vases are built as construction games; each of it is composed of several parts, which slot, overlape, get closer or further.
Each part is independant and have his own plastic identity. The vases can be constructed and deconstructed, providing a freedom of use.
