For my Diploma Project at ECAL (June 2017) I was reflected on the changing role of the photographic medium in our contemporary.
Through the new possibilities and the advancement in technology, I see a kind of separation of the vision of the reality, and a virtual space which has been created throug
h the application of digitalization. (Like the dimensions of the World-Wide-Web or even the reproduction of workspaces in softwares.)
Technology is in a way an adaption and perfection of our humanity and nature, a representative form of physical objects into a digital reality.
ENCODING DATABASE represents fragments of exploring the relationship between digital particles (Technology) and the physical laws (Photography) of image creation. By using the computer as a infinite workspace and a sort of total scientific device, I produced and captured, among screenshots, how photography can be modified and expanded into a new vision of virtualized reality.
Framing its overload of data and details to a new dimension behind the digital photography.
