Collection SNIEKS is a story about the craftsmanship of the men in my family. It is based on the silhouettes, shapes and the character of the clothing my grandfather used to wear. The overall idea is complemented with my emotional experience turning my grandfather's clothes into womenswear. It is nec
essary to mention the availability and the given role of the surrounding everyday object when talking about my father's and his father's aesthetics and rationalism.They used to take materials from already outworn and used objects and turn them into new, extraordinary and authentic household items. These new pieces my grandfather made are in a way overlapping with things his father left behind.Through his creative process these old items become something new to be left for the next generation.
