Laura Bonnefous

Laureate of the 2021 Grand Prix Photography & Sustainability – an award created by Eyes on Talents and Paris Good Fashion – Laura Bonnefous runs workshops as part of the programme for Les Rencontres de la Photographie d’Arles 2026. Through a visual aesthetic that emphasizes both the spaces she encounters and those she recreates, Laura offers us a certain poetry of the real. Inspired by the relationship between humanity and the contemporary landscape, and captivated by the transformations our society is undergoing, she deciphers and examines our mythologies to present a sensitive interpretation of them. Using elements drawn from reality, she constructs her own spaces, ones that are more personal and metaphorical. At once pictorial and sculptural, her images employ a degree of abstraction to engage in a new archaeology of our contemporary codes.
