Marie Berthouloux

Eyes on Talents member, Marie Berthouloux, founder of Studio Ekceli, is participating in L'Art Month, organised by Le Cercle de l'Art, an association founded in 2020 by artist Margaux Derhy to support emerging Francophone women visual artists. Once a year, in April, L'Art Month offers collectors the chance to acquire works by the association's artists in 12 monthly payments, guaranteeing the artists a regular income and supporting the development of their practice. For her third participation, Marie Berthouloux is proposing a body of work entitled Fenêtres, to be discovered at the group exhibition Ce qui nous touche at the Galerie Grès in Paris from 03 to 06 April. Alongside three other women artists brought together by Agnès Decourchelle, Marie Berthouloux combines nature, embroidery, painting and drawing to explore the imprint of time and the fragility of the environment. A collector of fleeting experiences of beauty when faced with a fragment of nature or a detail of an oil painting, Marie seeks to invest these sensations in order to share them through her work.
