Studio HAOS

Eyes on Talents member, Studio HAOS, presents Room for Reverie, a tranquil space filled with traces of an inhabitant who feels present yet unseen, at Alcova Miami. This week, Miami Art Week 2024 hosts the second edition of Alcova Miami, the Milan-based design fair that debuted its first American edition in the city last year. This year's show takes place in the iconic Miami River Inn, Miami’s oldest hotel. Studio HAOS invites visitors to slip into a different life for a moment, a place where boundaries between guest and resident gently blur. Elevating humble materials and experimenting with open-mold aluminum casting, their structured yet delicate pieces invite viewers to find beauty within a crafted, yet intentionally imperfect framework.
Founded in 2017 by Sophie Gelinet and Cédric Gepner, Studio HAOS has the ability to evoke emotion through restraint and deliberately limited means. Originally from Paris, the duo relocated to Lisbon to establish a large-scale workshop where design, prototyping and production happen side by side. In this space, they experiment with ways of elevating humble materials, crafting thoughtful pieces that forge a path distinct from both mechanization and opulent craftsmanship.
