Hall Haus

Eyes on Talents member, Hall Haus, has travelled to Mexico to compose Mixtape, a solo exhibition at Territorio gallery, which opened this week to launch Design Week Mexico. A creative immersion and ten encounters gave rise to eighteen objects presented in the exhibition, fruits of collaborations between the French design collective and Mexican artisans and designers. The result is a remix of identities where popular Mexican and pre-Columbian inspirations meet the vibrant universe of the Parisian studio influenced by urban cultures and their African origins. In a fusion of cultures and techniques, crafts and materials including turned and carved wood and cactus fibre weaving, come together with innovative eco-design techniques such as agave-based leather or 3D printing.
Hall Haus was founded in 2020 by the French quartet Abdoulaye Niang, Sammy Bernoussi, Teddy Sanches and Zakari Boukhari. They advocate a creative approach that stems from a journey between their urban and multicultural environment (hall) and design (haus). Their fields of action encompass objects, experiences and transmission.
