Toni Grilo

Eyes on Talents member, Toni Grilo, participated in this year's Lisbon Design Week, which took place in May. The designer has created three installations including "Back to Back, Face to Face", an urban installation shown in the Cais do Sodré district. Working on a more social design concept, Toni Grilo designed a public bench, a piece intended to be popular and create a connection between passers-by in the street.
Toni Grilo was born in France in 1979. After graduating from École Boulle in Paris, he moved to Lisbon and continued to develop projects in France at the same time. Returning to his roots, he discovered a rich industrial and artisanal country and became attached to the beauty of technical processes and materials. After various collaborations, he decided to stay permanently in Portugal. In 2005 he founded his first agency, Objection with designer Elder Monteiro and in 2008 he opened his own studio in Matosinhos, creating his own products, furniture and scenography.
