Quentin Lacombe

Eyes on Talents member, Quentin Lacombe, is one of the finalists of the 38th edition of the Festival international de mode, de photographie et d’accessoires, Hyères. He will present his series, Crucible of Time, in October during the festival. Crucible of Time explores the links between city and nature and the multiple layers of time. In the chaos of organic matter and the patterns of ultra-urbanization, the series crystallizes a state on the verge of collapse. Between documentary practice and experimental work with the photographic medium, Quentin Lacombe makes each photograph a time capsule whose atmosphere illustrates the loss of control over our environment.
After studying architecture, Quentin Lacombe joined the Bachelor of Photography at ECAL. His work revolves around a documentary practice and an experimental work of the photographic medium aimed at challenging its instantaneousness.
