matali crasset
Eyes on Talents member, matali crasset, is the first guest curator of the Le Nouveau Printemps festival which will take place in Toulouse, from June 2 to July 2, 2023, in the Saint-Cyprien district. As a designer committed for a long time to the ecological transition, matali crasset has opted for an edition oriented towards living together and eco-responsibility. In a program that has just been unveiled, around thirty artists from different generations and disciplines, many embracing collaborative approaches, will invite us to the union of disciplines and the meeting of ideas.
matali crasset, born in 1965, trained as an industrial designer. She develops an approach at the crossroads of an artistic and anthropological practice, as joyful as it is political, which aims to encourage sharing and open up possibilities. Like one of her most well-known objects, the hospitality column "Quand Jim monte à Paris" (When Jim comes to Paris), she set up a methodology where she questions the obvious codes that regulate everyday life to free us and invite us to experiment.
