Eleonora Strano
Eyes on Talents member, Eleonora Strano's Ex Materia series was published last month in Fisheye Magazine after being presented last November at the 7th PhotoVogue Festival and last October at the 37th Festival de Hyères. A battle for life in the nuclear age is how Eleonora Strano defines her work. More than 30 years after the Chernobyl accident, the photographer returns to the land of her childhood in the south-east of France in an attempt to capture the invisible and uncover unanswered questions. In a world straddling past and future, amidst a state of imbalance evoked by memories of the disaster, a new life force takes the form of a subtle dance charged with emotions and subterranean energies.
Eleonora Strano is a Franco-Italian photographer. She lives and works in France. Alongside her collaborations with the press, she is currently working on a commission from the Université Côte d’Azur, the Villa Arson and the Académie 5 on biocontrol and in Saint-Pierre et Miquelon on the photographic commission, Radioscopie de la France, supported by the ministère de la Culture and the Bibliothèque nationale de France.
