Eyes on Talents member, SCMP DESIGN OFFICE, has just completed their residency at Les Ateliers de Paris where they spent two years. During this period, they had the chance to participate in the Edo Tokyo Kirari program which connects Japanese craftsmen with French designers. They collaborated with the glass company Kimoto Glass and the kumihimo brand Ryukobo, two family businesses. With them, they designed OPTICA, a set of two glasses and a sake carafe and KUMI, a textile collection, highlighting the finest and most precise Japanese know-how.
SCMP DESIGN OFFICE is a French design studio, launched in 2015 by Sébastien Cluzel and Morgane Pluchon. Through their interrogation of materials, shapes, colors and patterns, Sébastien and Morgane create designs that evoke memories, showcase craftsmanship and redefine expectations of everyday objects.
