Laurel Parker

Eyes on Talents member, Laurel Parker, presents this weekend with Paul Chamard their installation Inside Outside at the Musée de la Chasse et de la Nature on the occasion of the 39th Journées européennes du patrimoine and Paris Design Week 2022. They developed this project in 2019 during a residency at Villa Kujoyama around Japanese paper, washi, listed as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage. Each element of the installation is made of washi transformed using traditional techniques, inviting us to question the contemporary use of one of the favorite materials of architects, craftsmen, artists and designers.
Laurel Parker is the artistic director and founder of Laurel Parker Book, a hybrid space dedicated to artists' books, at the crossroads of the art gallery, the bookstore and the design and manufacturing studio.
