Arthur Hoffner

Eyes on Talents member, Arthur Hoffner, whose practice lies at the crossroads between sculpture, craftsmanship and design, imagined a vast immersive installation around the spectacle of water in motion, on the occasion of Montévidéo's carte blanche, launched yesterday in Marseille. Like a dialogue between the supremacy of technique and the power of the intangible, Arthur's creations seek to link humanity to nature. Water World is a contemplation of the domestication of fluids, an attempt to negotiate between artefact and material, industrial object and natural fluid, mastery and abandonment. In a mysterious scenography, water flows and evaporates before petrifying into frost, whose rustling escapes to disappear and emerge from a gleaming pipe.
