Döppel Studio

Eyes on Talents member, Döppel Studio, is a design studio whose name is taken from the German meaning ‘double’, referring to the search for duality in the studio’s approach and the working method of its two founders: Jonathan Omar & Lionel Dinis-Salazar. Their last project entitled Le Champ des Possibles – Micro-architectures à expérimenter is an exhibition currently presented at the Biennale Internationale Design Saint-Étienne. Taking as a starting point the Cabanon designed by Le Corbusier and more generally the research of 20th century architects on minimal space, the visitor is invited to test six micro-architectures conceived by Döppel Studio. The exhibition seeks to question the concept of housing and how it meets our essential needs such as having clean air, being sheltered and fed or having access to fresh water.
