Grégoire Scalabre
Eyes on Talents member, Grégoire Scalabre, is a French contemporary ceramicist and sculptor. His work is now on display at Homo Faber, a biennial showcase of contemporary artisans, which runs from April 10 to May 1 in Venice. L’Ultime Métamorphose de Thétis, is a monumental sculpture 2 meters high composed of 60,000 pieces of handmade ceramics, turned one by one by Grégoire Scalabre and individually enamelled using a variety of green shades chosen from the palette of the Manufacture de Sèvres. Grégoire Scalabre did his apprenticeship in France at the Atelier du Sage in Dieulefit and then continued his studies at the Agir Céramique school in Alzon. From 2008 to 2010, he completed a residency at the Manufacture de Sèvres.
