"“I see fashion as a form of art”
Although I am not a dancer, my art and design education combined with my fascination for contemporary dance and performance art have driven me to communicate fashion by way of the moving body. Each piece in my collection is designed through experimental pattern development and deft fabric manipulation, in order to offer a dynamic array of shapes, allowing the wearer a full range of movements.
Within my practice I collaborate with dance artists and together we construct movement-performances. Through these performances my pieces are transformed, revealing unexpected silhouettes which I capture through film and still images. My aim is to keep challenging the design possibilities that unfold from this process."
