For the occasion of the launch of my collection 2 campaign, I had the opportunity to speak to Eva Hilinski about my design approach, the feeling behind this photoshoot and my ambitions for the future
Since the beginning of 2023 I'm working independently on my own niche artisanal collection of wearable leather items. From sketching over development to the production of the final product, everything is a personal project now, imagined and created in my own studio.
Design of bags, small leather goods and jewellery
Research, hand sketching, prototype development.
Creation of patterns and mock-ups of the designed bags and belts.
Elaborating technical drawings by hand and computer.
Assisting the shoe-designer in daily tasks.
Assisting the product developers in th
e process of making the collection (drawing- and fabric books, digitalization of technical drawings for online sales system, ...)
Re-organising the shoe archive of the last 20 years and the complete accessories archive of 30 years

Ma première expérience chez Ann Demeulemeester m’a beaucoup inspirée »
Winner of the Eyes on Talents x Premiere Classe competition in 2023, the designer will be at the event from 1 to 4 March with Collection 2.
The accessories designer answers our questions from Antwerp, where she lives.
Marie Bernadette Woehrl: “My craftsmanship is in the end result”
The German Marie Bernadette Woehrl only recently started her niche label of wearable leather creations and has already won a major award. She makes her designs herself by hand.
With 20 to watch, Flanders DC presents twenty emerging
talents, who recently took their first steps in the worlds of design or fashion. We believe they will have great success in the future.
