hat are different
from the mainstream, etc) to
convey their messages, art and
work through this platform. Such
profiles, posts and content are
now banned from the Instagram’s
« Explore » and hashtag
pages. Problem is, users are not
warned they are being shadow
banned, they can just notice by
seeing their views and likes
decrease on stories and posts.
Insta hides behind wanting to
offer « safe and appropriate »
content for its community. On the
other hand, the platform is one of
the last to host conspiracy
theorist, such as Alex Jones,
among other far right activists.

shouldn’t be on Instagram is an
act of resistance against the
censorship the platform is
exercising on sex workers and
queer activits that share
sex-related topics like gender
and identity.
