by literally copying famous painters techniques and modified them with my own point of view. During my art studies I improve my techniques with collages and realistic drawings. The result are superimposed and cutted images which create what i call “logic-chaos”.
I live for art, cinema is my secret world; by seeing movies everyday I learnt to find the inspiration from film director’s views. Some of them are able to coniugate images, music and freedom of expression in a very inspirational way.
That is what I need from garments; not only seen as clothes but also as personal feelings.
In IED (my fashion university), I learnt to work with fabrics manipulations, knitwear and leather, filling all my sketchbooks until they explodes. Then I start to elaborate my BA collection, which should be not only the end of a school period but also the realization of a world which was born a while before.
In my thesis research “Trasfigurando in fin la meraviglia”, shapes are filled with material substance, which makes everything undefined. Starting from the distruction of the conventional beauty of the form, I will create a a subtle border between what is considered beautiful and what is considered ugliness.
The defined form will be filled by wonderment: we are talking about substance that will embellish and, at the same time, warp, the appeareance. I will obtain a transfiguration of garments and body.
This are a few details of my way of thinking and aesthetic.
