Project realized in collaboration with Yesim Eröktem at ECAL
2013
Gala lighting collection was a collaboration with the french crystal factory Baccarat, to design a lighting collection that will be a tribute to the famous Harcourt glass. The main source of inspiration was Salvador Dali, who is a
master at playing with the objects’ form and fluidity.
The crystal in this lighting collection has a similar character, where it looks almost as if it landed on the structure. It was a great experience to play with this contradiction between the real features of the material, the weight and rigidity, and the almost floating, fluid image.
The project was presented in Milan Design Week in 2013 in the Baccarat Showroom, with the brand’s new collection.
